After arrival of baby, the only priority for a mother is certainly her baby and that is quite natural. No matter how much pain she must have had while delivering her child, all worth it after she sees her child.
It is being said that mother is also takes a new birth with her child and only those will understand that who already have been through it. Although, it is not easy for a mother to take care of her child alone atleast for a six month until her child follows one routine. Still, she never gives up.
Personally, I want to take a moment and salute all those mothers who handle her motherhood journey all alone without having support.
1.Breastfeeding tips:
Mothers should never worry about milk production. Your body has already prepared itself for producing milk. Although it can be seen that women who give natural birth start producing milk faster than the mother who delivers through C-section. The more you breastfeed your baby, the more it will produce.
Although doctors advised to feed after every 2 hours. Don't forget to give burping to baby after each feed. It is always advisable to also feed on demand.2 days after delivery you might have complaint about baby not latching breast properly and that is totally fine. Always take care of your sitting position while breastfeeding. I would always recommend to sit and breastfeed your baby and not in sleeping position. Also, it is completely upto the mother whether to give breastmilk of formula milk. Stay hydrated. You need to eat in every 2 hours if you want to breastfeed your baby. We all know that baby is our priority but do not forget taking care of yourself in this journey because Happy mom means happy baby.
2.Bathing your newborn:
Bathing for newborns requires special care and attention due to their delicate nature. It is recommended to bathe a newborn baby around four times a week, as excessive bathing may increase the risk of catching a cold or cough.
To ensure the baby's safety, it is advisable to take extra precautions during the first six months. Consulting with a pediatrician can provide further guidance on the best practices for bathing your newborn. Additionally, a sponge bath can be a gentle and effective alternative for maintaining cleanliness.
Also, taking a baby in sunlight after bathing can help baby's body produce vitamin D, which is essential for healthy bone development. It also aids in the absorption of calcium and phosphorus. Sunlight exposure can also help regulate the baby's sleep patterns and promote a sense of well-being. However, it is important to ensure that the baby is not exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods, especially during peak hours when the sun is strongest. It is recommended to consult with a pediatrician to determine the appropriate duration and timing for sun exposure based on the baby's age and skin sensitivity.
3.Massaging your baby:
Massaging your baby promotes bonding between the parent and the baby, enhances relaxation, and can help soothe and calm the baby. Additionally, baby massage has been found to have various physical benefits, such as improving circulation, aiding digestion, and promoting better sleep.
When it comes to choosing the best oil for baby massage, it is important to opt for oils that are safe and gentle on the baby's delicate skin. Some commonly used oils for baby massage include coconut oil, almond oil, and grapeseed oil. These oils are generally well-tolerated and moisturizing for the baby's skin.
It is recommended to consult with a pediatrician or a healthcare professional to determine the most suitable oil for your baby, taking into consideration any specific skin conditions or allergies that the baby may have.
